The Multimedia Clubhouse assists youth in understanding multi-media related
to television and computers. The goal of the Multimedia Clubhouse curriculum
is to empower young people to read, analyze, evaluate and produce communications
in a variety of media formats including TV, computers, newspapers and
the arts. The program is also designed to develop their skills in critical
thinking, writing, and public speaking.
Digital
Audio
Learn through use of the computer how to create, capture and edit
audio for multimedia projects using digital computer hardware and
software. Explore various uses of audio for any digital projects.
Prerequisite: None
Class Size: Limited to a maximum of 5
Kids Community Calendar
Youth will create and host 30-second commercials to announce community
activities and events. The commercials will air on local cable television
networks (i.e., MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, etc.)

Multimedia
Workshop
Learn through the use of the computer how to create digitized video
images, sound and animation. Topics include: video production, digital
camera demonstration, script writing and storyboard development. Students
will produce their own video.

Learn
the fundamentals of music theory and keyboard instruction.
Class Size: Limited to a maximum of 5
Youth Job Net
Youth will explore employment opportunities by greater Worcester business
merchants and list the job placements on the Youth Job Net website.

All Multimedia Clubhouse members must attend orientation before attending
classes.
