About Us
PRIDE
PRODUCTIONS, INC. (PPI)
A non-profit
corporation, was formed in 1994 to highlight the benefits and
contributions of our diverse cultural community.
PPI's
mission is to "empower youth to expand their opportunities for the
future using media and technology" in a safe learning environment.
A Winning Combination
The Community Access Technology
Center (CATC) and the Multimedia Clubhouse (MMC)
both provide a creative and safe after-school learning environment where
young people ages 14 to 17 from underserved communities work with adult
mentors to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence
in themselves through the use of technology. Both provide youth with
access to resources, skills and experiences to help them succeed in
their education, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding
lives.
In addition, members from both programs work closely
with adult mentors, students, and professionals including fields such as
art, science, and education who share their experience and serve as role
models.
PPI has become a leader in the field of media and technology by
creating a learning environment for youth that will teach, educate, and
enhance knowledge. We deliver quality services and have received
recognition locally and nationally for our innovative programs and
collaboration with organizations and educational institutions for the
benefit of youth. This is demonstrated by students who have become
successful in education, feel a high sense of accomplishment, and have
in turn become community leaders and positive role models.
Goals
PPI’s goal is to become the leader in innovative
technology programs in collaboration with community organizations
and educational institutions for the benefit of young adults. PPI has
been recognized locally and nationally for its innovative programs and
collaborations with organizations and educational institutions for the
benefit of the youth.
